Das nützliche kleine aber feine Tool ScriptDoc ist gestern in der Version 1.0 erschienen. Mit ScriptDoc kann man Dokumentation für Ajax Client Script Libraries erstellen. Es wird ein XML File generiert, welches dann von NDoc oder SandCastle verarbeitet werden kann.

This application generates documentation for Atlas client script libraries. It generates XML documentation files that have the same format as C# documentation files and that can be processed by existing tools such as NDoc or SandCastle.
This works as an ASP.NET 2.0 web application.
Documentation is generated from the source code of the classes defined in files and namespaces defined in a project file. The project to use is specified using the project query string parameter. For example, if you have built the project file myProject.xml in the Projects directory, browsing to default.aspx?project=myProject will generate the Output/myProject.xml and Output/myProject.org documentation and reflection files.
The tool can work in the absence of specific documentation information in the source code but the usefulness of such documentation will be small.
To include real documentation, you can use the /// comments that are familiar to C# developers with one essential difference: the comments have to be inside of the class or method definition.

Was ist neu in der Version 2.1.0:

Added: Support for Visual Basic .NET has been added again (was disabled in version 2.0.0), but still is regarded as "experimental". The feature is turned off by default and you have to turn it on in the configuration dialog. Please see the docs for more information.

Added: The setup for the demo project now contains a VB.Net version.

Added: Full rule support for events (configurable default documentation, inherited documentation e.g. for interface implementations, and used-defined custom rules)

Added: New macro $(DeclaringTypeKind) that specifies the kind of type a member is defined in (i.e. class, struct or interface).

Changed: All occurrences of "class" in the default templates have been replaced by $(DeclaringTypeKind).

Changed: As the next version of Visual Studio (codename "Orcas" ) will be named Visual Studio 2008, all texts have been updated accordingly.

Fixed: Documentation of constructors of structs referring to the initialization of a "class" instance.

Fixed: Problems with parameter names starting with an '@' (e.g. "@class").

telerik bringt morgen (26.06.07) das erste CTP für die "RadControls for Silverlight 1.0" heraus. Wer diese Controls testen möchte muss sich hier anmelden. Die Controls sollen Ende des Sommers erscheinen. Ein genauer Termin wird noch bekannt gegeben.

Am 24.08.07 findet die NRW'07 in Wuppertal statt. Ich habe meine Bestätigung bekommen, dass ich auf der NRW'07 als Speaker dabei bin. Beschreibung: Aleksandar Seovic will discuss application development considerations for maximum scalable performance and reliability in clustered .NET environments. This presentation focuses on improving scalability and scalable performance of applications through the use of clustered caching and data grids to reliably share live data among clustered application nodes, providing transparent fail-over as a key element of uninterrupted operation and reduced load on the database tier as a key element of scalability. We will also discuss how you can simply improve performance and scalability of the existing ASP.NET applications by storing session state in a data grid.

The presentation will focus on:
* Caching Topologies: the limitations, trade-offs and benefits
* Cache aside, read/write through and write behind architectures, where and when to use
* Use cases and a topology quiz
* Scaling ASP.NET web applications

Aleksandar Seovic is a Managing Director at Solutions for Human Capital, Inc. – a software development company specializing in enterprise document and content management. He has lead development effort on a number of engagements for Fortune 500 corporations, mostly in pharmaceutical and financial services industries, and has worked in the architect role on both .NET and J2EE projects.
Most recently, Aleks took part in the design and implementation of Tangosol Coherence for .NET, a client library that allows applications written in any .NET language to access data and services provided by Tangosol Coherence data grid.
Aleks is also a co-lead for Spring.NET, an open source framework for enterprise application development, and a lead developer for Web, AOP and Services modules of the framework.

Heute wurde auf Codeplex der "Visual Studio Team System Project Server 2007 Connector" released. 

The Visual Studio Team System Project Server 2007 Connector is designed to integrate the project management capabilities of VSTS with Project Server 2007. It's been developed by the Visual Studio Team System Rangers in response to significant customer demand for a connector solution. Future versions of Team System will have native integration with Project Server, in the meantime this Connector solution is the best way to integrate the two Microsoft products. This solution builds on the previous PS2003 VSTS Connector, published on GotDotNet. This solution is intended to provide guidance, provided as source code that can be used "as is," extended, or modified by developers to use on enterprise development projects.

Telerik hat heute den Product Suppport Lifecycle der ASP.NET Controls bekannt gegeben. Interessant ist, dass die RadControls ASP.NET "Prometheus" im Januar 2008 mit .NET 3.5 erscheinen. Wissen die mehr als wir?? *g*
